Huawei P9 Specifications & Features

Even though the new Huawei P9 specifications are outstanding, it is an affordable phone, making it a true competitive in 2016.

Huawei, the Chinese Company, unveiled the new smartphone Huawei P9 with new specifications including: a double camera - that became a reality due to the collaboration between Huawei and Leica (German company) – and stylish design in the middle of April 2016 through hosting an event that included many Hollywood stars in London, Britain.

The Huawei P9 has a new and stylish design and is available in the following colors: white,gold, pink, grey, and silver. Its dimensions are: 145mm length, 70.9mm width, and 7mm thickness and weighs 144 grams. P9 is available in a single or dual sim cards options.

It has a 5.2 inch screen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and is covered in a layer of the fourth generation Gorilla glass – a scratch and break resistance glass.

The Huawei P9 operates on Android 6.0 – also known as Marshmallow – with an octa core HiSilicon Kirin 955 processors made from two parts: the first operating on a 2.5 gigahertz and the other on 1.8 gigahertz.

As for the memory, it is available in two options: the first one is a 32GB internal storage with a 3GB RAM, and the second one is a 64GB storage and 4GB RAM. For extra storage, a memory card can be added (Micro SD) up to 128GB.

Double Camera

Huawei P9 has a main camera (rear camera) with a resolution of 12 megapixels, and a front camera with 8 megapixels. It also has a 3000 mAh non-removable internal battery.

The double camera that Huawei P9 has is considered the most advanced because one canal is specified to capture colors while the other black and white, and then the camera's processor mixes between them to give you a clear bright image.

Huawei will also announce a new generation of the P9 called Huawei P9 Plus.

Huawei P9 Plus specifications

The differences between Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus will be mainly about phone size and battery life.

It will have a length of 152.3mm, 75.3mm width, and 7mm thickness, and will weigh 162 grams with a 5.5 inch screen.

As for the battery, it will be a 3400 mAh.

Huawei P9 in the Jordanian Market

Huawei P9 was released in late April 2016; the event in Amman got a lot of attention from the people, media, and press. Its price ranged around 400 JOD’s.

Huawei phones are gaining popularity in Europe and America and even the Middle East based on the company’s reports late 2015. That is because the phones have good specifications and affordable prices which got them to the top of the list in the smartphone market (ranking third after Samsung and Apple).
