LG V20, the first Smartphone Powered by the New 7.0 Android

The South Korean Company LG unveiled their new phone LG 20 which is considered the first smartphone to be powered by the new 7.0 version of Android operating system (also known as Nougat). The new phone is supposed to be available in the market in late September 2016.

LG V20 is considered a new phone with high specifications, and the company is depending on their new phone to increase their sales during the last quarter of 2016 – with the holiday season in the United States and Europe!

What are the Specifications of LG V20?

LG V20 will have dimensions as follows: length of 159.7 millimeter, width of 78.1 millimeter, and thickness of 7.6 millimeters, and with a weight of 174 grams. It is entirely made of aluminum which explains the reason behind it light weight and sturdiness.

It has a 5.7 inch screen making a percentage of 72.4% of the whole phone, with a resolution of 1440x2560 pixels, and covered in the fourth generation Corning Gorilla crash and break resistance glass.

LG V20 operates on a quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor.

It will be available in two versions when it comes to its internal storage: the first has an internal storage of 32 gigabytes, and the second will have an internal storage of 64 gigabytes. Both have a 4 gigabyte RAM and can support an external Micro SD Card – up to 256 gigabytes.

The first smartphone powered by the 7.0 Android version will have a rear (back) dual camera with a resolution of 16 megapixels (similar to Huawei P9 and iPhone 7) and the front (selfie) camera will have a resolution of 5 megapixels.

LG V20 will have fingerprint passcode as it is equipped with sensors to detect fingerprints and unlock the phone.  It has a non-removable 3200 mAh battery that also has Quick Charge 3.0 technology.

LG V20 will be available in the market in the following colors: black, silver, and pink. LG did not yet announce the price of the V20.

What is the Experts First Impression of the Device?

Experts see that LG V20 has high technicalities, specifications, and features when it comes to screen resolution, sound clarity, camera resolution, and battery improvement – even though V20 is an improved version of LG V10.

Experts also saw that the design of LG V20 is very similar to LG G5; however, users showed interest in the new design especially since it is lighter than G5 – which weighed 50 grams.

Similar to previous releases, LG improved the device’s secondary screen with shortcuts and widgets for easier access to applications.

LG announced that V20 will have a new feature allowing the user to search the main applications in the device known as Google’s In Apps.
