Xiaomi MI5 Smartphone Enter the European Market
What are the specifications of Xiaomi Mi5? Is it considered a high end phone? Will it replace expensive phones?
Xiaomi unveiled their new smartphone Mi5 during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain in February 2016.
Before listing the specifications and features of Xiaomi MI5 smartphone, we will introduce Xiaomi Company.
The Chinese company Xiaomi is the fourth biggest company for smartphones worldwide. Even though it was established 5 years ago, it managed to become a competitor to the biggest companies in the smartphone industry. It even is described as “China’s Apple” because of the growth it made and their phones qualities.
The first smartphone Xiaomi launched was in August 2011, and ever since, the company started manufacturing and improving innovative smartphones. They are now ranked fourth worldwide and are now competing in the European and Middle Eastern markets. Even though Apple and Samsung are still the best two, Xiaomi managed to prove itself in the market.
Xiaomi managed to come first replacing Huawei in the Chinese market. By that, even if it is the fourth in the world, it managed to come first in China before Huawei, Lenovo, Apple, and Samsung.
They follow a strategy of manufacturing high end phones with excellent specifications that matches Apple and Samsung phones, with somewhat affordable prices. They rely on minimal profit to get a bigger market share.
Xiaomi MI5 Matches Apple and Samsung Smartphones!

Xiaomi MI5’s design does not differ much from other smartphones, what differentiate it is the ceramic cover available for some models and the glass cover for others. It has the dimensions of 144.6x69.2x7.3 mm and weighs 129 grams.
It has a 5.15 inch IPS LCD touch screen with a resolution of 1080x1920 pixels. The rear camera has a resolution of 16 MP with an f/2.0 lens aperture, while the front camera has a 4 MP resolution and also an f/2.0 lens aperture operating on Large Pixel.
Xiaomi MI5 has a quad image stabilizer (for better pictures), and a Sunlight Display screen which Xiaomi developed so users can realize the high resolution screen even under direct sunlight and it works by adjusting the pixels automatically.
It has a quad-core Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 processor, with two versions: the fist has a quad processor made from two processors: the first working on a speed of 1.8 GHz and the other on 1.6 GHz, while the other version has the same processor but it has different speeds, which are 2.15 and 1.6 GHz.
The Xiaomi MI5 Pro has 128 GB internal storage with a 4GB RAM, while Xiaomi MI5 is available in 32 and 64 GB with a 3 GB RAM.
